We are seeking an experienced IT Manager / System Administrator to provide comprehensive technical support to our employees. This role focuses on ensuring that all employees have the tools they need to work efficiently and that their technology systems run smoothly. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with strong communication skills and a commitment to ensuring all technology systems and services are fully operational.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide responsive support for employee queries regarding computer, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with hardware (computers, printers, peripherals), software (applications, operating systems), and network connectivity.
- Set up and configure computers, software, and applications for new hires.
- Ensure employees' computers are properly configured with necessary tools, settings, and security updates.
- Install and update software and security patches across employee systems.
- Manage user accounts, including login credentials, access rights, and permissions.
- Assist with account setup or modifications when employees join or change roles within the company.
- Troubleshoot and resolve access or permission-related issues for systems and files.
- Conduct regular maintenance on company systems, including updates for operating systems and software.
- Replace outdated hardware and ensure all systems are running optimally.
- Implement antivirus and security measures to safeguard company devices from cyber threats.
- Assist employees with issues related to Wi-Fi, VPN, and internal network connectivity.
- Ensure shared devices, including printers and scanners, are functional and accessible to all employees.
- Provide timely support for technical issues, either in person, remotely, or via phone.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Escalate more complex issues to higher-level IT support or vendors as necessary.
- Maintain and update documentation for common technical issues and solutions.
- Develop and update user guides, FAQs, and knowledge base articles to help employees resolve minor issues independently.
- Track and report on recurring technical issues and provide recommendations for system improvements.
- Ensure all employee systems are secure from unauthorized access and potential cyber threats.
- Regularly monitor antivirus and firewall protections.
- Assist with implementing secure data-sharing practices, encryption, and password management protocols.
- Provide training and guidance on using company software tools and security policies.
- Ensure employees understand and follow company security protocols, including password management and phishing prevention.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux), common software applications, and basic networking.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve a wide range of technical issues efficiently.
- Strong Communication: Able to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Time Management: Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple issues simultaneously.
- Customer Service Focus: Patient, approachable, and proactive in assisting employees.
- Remote desktop support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk) for troubleshooting.
- IT ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, ServiceNow) for tracking and managing technical issues.
- Network management tools for troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Security tools (e.g., antivirus, firewall software) to ensure employee devices are secure.
