Data Steward

We're seeking a Data Engineer to become part of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the maintenance of Business Metadata of Datasets and Data Elements (Columns, Tables, Schemas) in quality high and in sync with the Information Models
• Develop and maintain the data flow map, understand all connections of the currently (and steadily increasing) end to end processes across the involved functions and processes within as well as beyond own Data Domain.
• Support Data Domain Owner with analysis of DQ issues and creation of mitigation strategies
• Contribute to the Design and implementation of processes to clean, transform, and aggregate raw data into the curated data layer.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of logic data models that accurately represent business entities and relationships.
• Contribute to updates to the curated data layer to accommodate changes in logical models or business needs.
• Implement data quality checks, define test scenarios, carry out testing and define validation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Identify and troubleshoot data issues, perform root cause analysis and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve them.
• Facilitate data classification, metadata management, and data lifecycle management.
• Develop and maintain data documentation and metadata repositories.

Qualification and Expertise:

• MSc or BSc in Informatics, Data Science or equivalent
• Experience with AWS services related to data processing and analytics.
• Experience with SQL and database programming.
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing principles.
• Experience with data quality tools, data cataloging and modeling, and metadata management (e.g. Innovator)
• Experience with Veeva Vault is a plus.
