TRANSLATOR

The Salvation Army Divisional Headquarters in Moldova is looking for a competent and personable translator to assist in the day to day operations of its mission in Moldova.

The role involves:
Verbal and written translation in Romanian, Russian and English in the following areas
• General conversation
• General correspondence
• Board meetings
• Legal documentation
• Processing of government documentation related to humanitarian aid distribution
• Public speaking
• Christian worship services

Essential requirements for this position are:
• Excellent translation skills in Romanian, Russian and English – both written and verbal
• Good communication skills – both written and verbal
• Good administrative skills
• Ability to work to deadlines
• An understanding of, and identification with Salvation Army mission
• Good computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to work in a team
• Confidentiality
• Willingness to work outside normal office hours when required (eg Sundays)
