Political Advisor

The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Chisinau is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Political Advisor to join our diplomatic team. This role is vital in supporting the Embassy’s mission by providing expert political analysis, enhancing Qatar-Moldova political relations, and contributing to the Embassy's strategic goals.

Position: Political Advisor
Location: Embassy of the State of Qatar, Chisinau
Working Hours: 09:00 - 15:30, Monday to Friday
Monthly Salary: 40,000 - 50,000 MDL

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and report on Moldova’s political landscape, including domestic developments, foreign policy, and government changes that may affect Qatar-Moldova relations.
• Provide strategic advice on political matters, offering insights to Embassy officials and supporting decision-making processes.
• Build and maintain relationships with Moldovan political institutions, government bodies, and key influencers to strengthen bilateral relations.
• Monitor and report on political events, legislative changes, and security matters of relevance to Qatar’s interests.
• Prepare political briefings, summaries, and reports for Embassy management.
• Represent the Embassy at political meetings, conferences, and events, and foster diplomatic engagement on behalf of Qatar.
• Coordinate political initiatives and assist with organizing bilateral visits, meetings, and diplomatic missions.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Law, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role, preferably within an Embassy, government institution, or international organization.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and research skills with a deep understanding of political frameworks and diplomacy.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in English and Romanian; knowledge of Arabic would be an asset.
• Ability to work independently, handle confidential information, and exhibit high professionalism and discretion.
• Professionalism: A strong sense of integrity, cultural awareness, and diplomatic tact.
