Mechanic / Welder – 3000 EUR (Norway)

Loe Rørprodukter AS is Norway’s leading producer of prefabricated concrete pipes and basins. The factory is located in Hokksund, Norway and is one of Europe`s most modern facilities.

Job Description:
We are seeking mechanics with a European passport (e.g., Romanian or Bulgarian) who have experience with industrial mechanics and welding. The job involves fixing and maintaining machines and equipment.

As our new employee, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Renovate formwork equipment together with your current sheet metal worker/mechanic.
• Weld reinforcing steel.
• Produce reinforcement for concrete elements.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a mechanic/industrial mechanic
• Experience with welding and possibly a lathe
• Understanding of technical drawings
• Experience with concrete work is an advantage
• Vocational certificate as a welder or mechanic is desired, but not a requirement. Good relevant experience can compensate for a lack of education
• Must have a European passport
• English or Scandinavian language
• Willingness to reside permanently in Norway

Working Conditions:

• Work time: Monday-Friday with possibilities for overtime inside of a fabric
• Salary between €3000 and €3800 per month (after taxes) depending on hours worked, and amount of overtime.
• 5-week vacation and 12% holiday pay
• The employer will be helpful in finding housing
• Possibility for permanent contract after 6 months
• Free work clothes
