Our client, a fast-growing and reputable financial organization with a strong presence, is seeking a Head of IT Infrastructure to join their team in Chisinau.
This role plays a key part in the company’s success by developing and implementing IT infrastructure strategies that support business goals, enhance system security and reliability, and drive technological innovation. The Head of IT Infrastructure will oversee critical areas such as network architecture, cloud solutions, database management, and cybersecurity, ensuring the efficiency and scalability of IT operations.

HEAD OF IT INFRASTRUCTURE
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of IT infrastructure and database administration specialists;
- Plan tasks, monitor deadlines, and ensure work quality;
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure (server equipment, networks, storage systems);
- Administer databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL) and optimize their performance;
- Manage virtualization and cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud);
- Ensure IT infrastructure security and compliance with data protection requirements;
- Plan and manage the IT department’s budget, including procurement of equipment and licenses.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 3 years in managerial positions;
- Deep knowledge of server hardware, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), network infrastructure, and storage systems;
- Experience in database administration: SQL, replication, clustering, backup;
- Strong leadership skills, organizational abilities, and experience managing technical teams;
- Experience in working with IT service providers and overseeing SLA compliance;
- Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus) is a plus;
- Higher education in IT, computer science, or related fields.
