Experienced Drafting Technician

Frank Technology, a new Scan-Plast and Tunetanken branch in Moldova, is an international company that develops, produces and markets a large number of different products manufactured, wholly or partly, in fibre-reinforced composite materials. We therefore address many different industries and customer groups.

We currently have an opportunity for a CAD Technician to join our engineering design team. You will be given the opportunity to work on a broad range of remodeling buildings projects. To carry out this role successfully, you will be responsible for the following duties:

Qualifications:

• Able to create engineering designs, drawings and documentation with experience gained from an industrial environment;
• Able to communicate effectively around engineering issues and able to present technical ideas clearly;
• Extensive 3D CAD skills;
• Ability to understand and read technical drawings;
• Ability to grasp the big picture and provide effective solutions for a specific audience;
• Computer competence, with a minimum of strong MS Word skills;
• Affinity with technical systems;
• Creative with the ability to innovate;
• Ability to follow directions and willing to learn;
• Must have a good business ethics, positive attitude and meet deadlines.

Experience:

• A degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Interior Architecture or a related field would be of benefit;
• Preferable 1-2 years of experience in AutoCad and ideally specifically related to Industrial/Commercial Design;
• Portfolio of work.

Responsibilities:

• Produces designs, working drawings, charts, forms and records using computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) software.
• Works from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers and architects.
• Coordinates with other workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
• Reviews and analyzes specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
• Prepares designs for review by engineers and architects.
• Specifies dimensions, materials, and procedures for new products.
• Analyzes building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural designs.
