The application we are referring to is already available on three different application stores, through a partnership with Nokia, Microsoft and Apple. The core mission in this case will be to develop and maintain this application for Android phones. The applications are built on top of a powerful web service interface which exposes most of the functionalities of the web site such as Chat, Searches, etc. Having a full documentation ensured regarding the interface, as well as a test HTML form with all APIs together, the aim is a complete understanding and debugging of each API call.

Overview of your role inside the team:
In this context, as a Android/iPhone Software Engineer in our team, you will have the following responsibilities:
- to develop the first version of the Android application, which closely follows the functionalities presented in the iPhone story board;
- to assure the corrective and evolutive maintenance;
- to provide regular releases during the development phase;
- to manage research topics, architecture definition, studies, internal code reviews, estimations and technical audits;
- to drive innovation by coming up with new ideas for our products and processes;
- to develop new features as part of the team;
- to point out issues and advocate the best solutions while still presenting both the advantages and the limits that each one implies.
Cerinte:
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Confirmed Java or J2EE experience;
- Hands-on experience with Android;
- Strong understanding of the Android development environment and SDKs;
- Must have minimum 3 years of hands on experience in OOD, working with design patterns;
- Proactive programming style that anticipates and resolves project roadblocks;
- Interest to learn more about new languages and frameworks;
- Fluency in English is mandatory;
- Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
