Position Title: Senior Resource Planner

bully! entertainment is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Sr. Resource Planner to manage the global team’s workload, optimize resource allocation, and ensure our creative projects run smoothly and efficiently.
The Sr. Resource Planner will oversee the allocation of human resources across multiple projects, balancing workload across teams and ensuring that goals of producers/project managers (e.g. project deadlines, budgets, and quality standards) are met. You’ll work closely with project managers, department heads, and creatives to maintain productivity, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance operational efficiency.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication skills, and possesses a keen eye for detail when it comes to resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workload Management: Oversee and allocate the right resources (designers, writers, developers, etc.) to each project based on their expertise, availability, and project needs.
- Project Scheduling: Work with project managers to establish project timelines and ensure resources are scheduled effectively for each phase of the project lifecycle (while understanding project dependencies).
- Resource Forecasting: Forecast upcoming resource needs based on current and upcoming project pipelines to ensure the agency is adequately staffed.
- Balance Workload: Manage and balance workloads to prevent overloading individuals, identify potential bottlenecks, and reallocate resources as necessary.
- Collaboration & Communication: Maintain open communication with project managers, producers, department heads, and team members to ensure resources are utilized efficiently and projects stay on track.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor the productivity of team members to identify trends and improve resource allocation strategies.
- Reporting: Regularly update team and leadership on resource availability, project progress, and any potential risks to the project timelines.
- Process Improvement: Continuously improve and refine resource planning processes to increase efficiency and support team morale. This includes but is not limited to: ensuring team members are tracking time, estimating tasks, setting clear priorities, etc. When issues arise, the Resource Manager will escalate this to an individual's Director/Lead.
- Schedule Optimization: Maintain and keep our global Google Calendar up to date with holidays, out of offices, global meetings, etc.

Expected Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in resource planning, project management, or a related role, ideally in a creative or agency environment.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate and maintain positive relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to juggle multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to identify and resolve resource-related issues before they become roadblocks.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with resource planning tools (e.g., GanttPro) and project management software (e.g., Jira).
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail with a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy when managing resources and tracking project timelines.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing project needs and shifting deadlines.
Preferred:
- Experience in Creative Agencies: Understanding of the creative industry’s specific challenges related to resource management.
- Team Leadership: Experience managing or mentoring teams or departments.
