QA Engineer Manual – SaaS Product API Testing

We are looking for a QA Engineer with strong manual testing skills, particularly in API testing, and the ability to transition into automation over time. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of automation concepts and be open to working with our Playwright/JavaScript-based automation framework. While prior experience with Playwright/JS is preferred, it is not a strict requirement if other key qualifications are met.

Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing with a strong emphasis on API testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution.
- Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts for SaaS products.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers.
- Learn and gradually transition into test automation, contributing to our Playwright/JS-based framework.
- Ensure high-quality software releases by performing regression, integration, and system testing.
- Analyze and improve testing processes to enhance efficiency and coverage.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in manual QA testing, particularly API testing.
- Familiarity with JSON, JWT, and HTTP flows.
- Understanding of test automation concepts and willingness to transition into automation.
- Experience with test management tools and debugging tools.
- Knowledge of tools like Postman, Insomnia, or similar API testing tools.
- Previous experience in SaaS or startup environments is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Experience with Playwright/JavaScript automation is a plus but not a mandatory requirement.
- English - Upper-Intermediate

Will be a plus:
- Certifications in QA/Testing (ISTQB, etc.) are a plus.
- Prior exposure to test automation frameworks and scripting languages.
- Experience in performance and security testing is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Experience with security testing for web applications.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools.
- Exposure to Playwright or Cypress for automation testing.
