Field supervisor

GreenPeas is seeking a determined Field Supervisor to join our dynamic team. As a Field Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing a group of approximately 150 pea pickers (300 in total) and ensuring their adherence to quality standards and productivity targets, during the harvesting season. Your role will be central to maintaining a harmonious work environment and resolving any conflicts that may arise among the workers.

Job Description and Key Responsibilities:
As Field Supervisor at GreenPeas, you will:
- Supervise and manage a big team of pea pickers, providing clear instructions and assigning lines of peas for picking.
- Monitor the quality of the picked peas, ensuring they meet our high standards.
- Ensure that all workers are fulfilling their assigned tasks and maintaining productivity levels.
- Address any conflicts or disputes that may arise among the workers, defusing situations and maintaining a respectful atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with the workers, utilizing both English and, ideally, Romanian language skills to facilitate understanding.
- Maintain regular communication with the management team, providing updates on worker performance, productivity, and any issues that require attention.
- Implement and enforce safety regulations and procedures, prioritizing the well-being of the workers.
- Provide guidance to workers to enhance their skills and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the others supervisors and departments to optimize operations and achieve production goals.

Qualifications:
- Fluency in English and Romanian language is mandatory.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations and manage conflicts.
- Mental resilience and the ability to remain composed and focused under pressure.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in an agricultural or seasonal work environment is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and an eye for detail.
- Basic knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors for extended periods.
